Krislyn's Birth Story
My pregnancy journey ended much differently than I anticipated over the course of the past 9 months but because of the unmatched support of the Birth Center, it still ended exactly as it should.
Because of my water breaking nearly 30 hours before our sweet Nomi girl arrived and a lack of contractions in sight, I ended up being induced at Baton Rouge General. Once I reached the 6-7cm dilation mark, I was truly at the edge of abandoning my desires for a natural birth. But, like magic, Amanda appeared in all perfect timing. She jumped right in the trenches with me and walked me right back to my center. She supported me in all the ways I needed it and corralled my entire birth team to do the same.
Her expertise was noticeable in every single way that she took charge of the birthing environment and guided me to do the same. In less than an hour after Amanda’s arrival and around 3 hours after my induction, Tim and I’s sweet baby girl Nomi Jolie made her debut. I know for a fact that the level of pride, joy, and overall adoration that my entire family feels for my delivery process is directly connected to my labor experience with Amanda, even outside the walls of the Birth Center. Thank you 1,000 times! I would’ve done it no other way.
