Stefanie Jobe

Stefanie Jobe Midwife at Birth Center of Baton Rouge

Stefanie was born and raised in Central, Louisiana. You can say that her love for moms and babies runs in her genes! Her father is an OBGYN and her mother is a registered nurse who has worked in the OBGYN community for years. She found her passion for women and children on her first trip to Africa in 2007, and she has been fulfilling her life’s dreams ever since.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University, Stefanie worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Woman’s hospital for several years. Encouraged by her best friend to pursue a career in midwifery, she researched and quickly fell in love with the midwifery model of care. She moved on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University. Upon graduation, Stefanie immediately began her journey at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge with the hope of continuing the legacy of her parents as caregivers.

Stefanie believes that woman were created for this amazing job of motherhood and childbirth. She feels extremely blessed that she gets to be a small part of so many women’s journey into motherhood, whether it is for the first time or tenth time!

Stefanie has the sweetest 3-year-old boy in all the world, and an even sweeter fiancé! She is also equally obsessed with her three (very large) dogs and cat!
