BCBR Financial Guide

We understand that when bringing a new member into your family, financial planning is extremely important and expenses must be carefully considered, including the cost of giving birth. We strive to individualize our care in every aspect, including billing. Once you are a client, our billing coordinator meets with you to discuss your personal insurance and financial situation and, together, you will create options that help you comfortably finance your care.

Insurance

Along with knowing the components of our fee schedule, it is also important to know whether or not we are contracted with your insurance company so you can plan for in or out-of-network coverage. Here is a list of our current statuses with the major insurance providers in Louisiana. If you do not see your insurance company listed here, that does not mean that you can only get out-of-network coverage. Talk with our billing coordinator about requesting an in-network exception with your carrier.

In-network insurance carriers:
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (Including Community Blue)
  • United Healthcare
  • LSU First
  • Verity
  • WebTPA
  • Cigna
  • Tricare
  • Vantage
  • Healthcare cost sharing programs

Out-of-network insurance carriers:
  • Aetna (does not contract with birth centers but gives excellent out-of-network coverage)
  • Humana (does not cover care in birth centers, all Humana members would need to be self-pay)

Our billing company will analyze your individual insurance policy and we will use that information to estimate your out-of-pocket costs and design a payment plan that works with your budget.

Non-Insurance

Please contact us to learn more about our self-pay option.
